When my nose isn’t buried in a book & I’m not writing stories, I teach creative writing and facilitate creative projects such as the North-East-based residency series/creative writing tour Write Around The Toon. As the UK-based half of two.5 I work on cross-platform collaborations such as our current project, Dirty Laundry. I’m interested in creative-practise research and have a particular interest in narrative connections, collaborative processes, literary/creative interventions, and intersections between technology and literature.

I work part-time as Creative Writing Development Officer at the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts, and am also the Leverhulme Trust writer-in-residence at the School of Informatics, Edinburgh University 2011/12. That means a lot of quality reading time on my bi-weekly commute between cities…
